Makercamp: Bridging Design Thinking and Your Community

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Join us to learn how a Makercamp connects students to real-world community problems while using the Design Thinking process to grow empathy and understanding. You will learn how Alexandria partnered with local businesses to engage students in innovation and design of outdoor learning spaces at Discovery Middle School. (Just the beginning!) Learn about how by connecting Design Thinking, service learning, and community, we were able to tap into students to foster ownership and create a positive impact on their world. We will also brainstorm how you might use this in your communities, as well!
